Sarah Hughes

Sarah_HughesSarah Hughes is a 2011 graduate of the Conservatory of Music at Chapman University in Orange, CA.  She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in music education with an emphasis in voice.  She is currently working on her teaching credential and Master of Arts degree in teaching at Chapman University's College of Educational Studies.

Sarah has a long history of singing in choirs, but most recently she has sung with the University Choir and University Singers at Chapman University.  As a member of the University Singers, Chapman's chamber choir, she was the featured soprano soloist for Debussy's Salut Printemps with orchestra and chorus in 2010. Other memorable choral performances include Carmina Burana with the Idyllwild Festival Choir in 2009; singing for Pope Benedict XVI on a tour of Italy with the University Choir in 2008; and performing for the Missouri Music Educators Association (a branch of the National Association for Music Education) with the Webster Groves High School Concert Choir in 2006.  Sarah looks forward to adding to her list the upcoming performance with the OCWC at the American Choral Directors Association Western Division Conference!
