Mission

The Orange County Women’s Chorus believes that music is essential to the human spirit; that singing promotes joy and fellowship; and that music leads us to a greater understanding of ourselves and a deeper appreciation of the human family. Our mission is to make quality women’s choral music a vibrant part of the Southern California arts scene by presenting, advocating, and promoting choral music of the highest standards of artistry from different cultures and eras.

Values

We, the Board members and singers of the Orange County Women’s Chorus:

• Believe in artistic integrity in our rehearsals and performances.  We will constantly challenge ourselves to achieve new artistic heights.
• Believe that choral music can and should be relevant to our entire community.  We will strive with our music to reach, touch, and enrich the diverse population that surrounds us.
• Are committed to making and sharing quality music that is accessible and affordable.
• Believe that the diversity of our community should be reflected and celebrated in our organization, our audience, and our repertoire.
• Believe in the importance of music education, and provide learning opportunities for young artists and the community at large.
• Are committed to supporting, encouraging and promoting women in the arts.
• Believe that community outreach and artistic collaborations keep our organization vital and relevant.
